Shaping our living and working space together
In order to promote the region as a place to live and work and provide sustainable support to specific projects, the Sarganserland-Werdenberg Regional Association runs a variety of working groups covering the region’s strategic objectives.
FITNA Technology Day
The FITNA working group has been organising its Technology Days since 2012, an event encouraging interest in technology and science in young people. Every year, the event gives over 200 young people from Sarganserland-Werdenberg and the Principality of Liechtenstein the chance to take part in exciting practical workshops at around 30 different regional companies. The event aims to encourage interest in technology and science among schoolchildren in the sixth year of primary school, to combat the shortage of skilled workers, and to help young people to identify their future careers.
Regional Energy Committe
The municipalities that make up the Sarganserland-Werdenberg region – the vast majority of which have gained “energy town” (Energiestadt) status – tackle various issues related to energy policy. The representatives of each municipality meet regularly as part of the Sarganserland-Werdenberg Energy Committee to share their experience. Other major issues include starting and developing joint projects and providing high-quality communication and information for the population.
Mobility management in companies
As a leading player in the national Mobility Management in Companies programme, the Sarganserland-Werdenberg Regional Association works together with the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) to provide mobility advice services. The annual exchanges bring together prestigious companies from Zurich to Lake Constance, underscoring the importance of taking swift, appropriate action.
