ESAF 2025: We're giving away tickets for the federal event

Residents of Sarganserland municipalities can win coveted day tickets for the Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival (ESAF) from August 29 to 31, 2025 in Mollis GL. The entry form for the ticket prize draw will be available online from Sunday, June 1 at www.rsw.ch/esaf.

The seven Sarganserland municipalities of Bad Ragaz, Flums, Mels, Pfäfers, Quarten, Vilters-Wangs and Walenstadt are official ESAF patron municipalities. Together, they will receive a total of 126 day tickets, which will be raffled off in full to the residents. All tickets for the winners drawn are valid for Saturday and Sunday.http://www.rsw.ch/esaf

Take part online in June

Taking part is easy: from June 1 to 15, 2025, the competition form can be completed online at www.rsw.ch/esaf can be completed online. The seven municipal administrations will verify the respective residents' data. Participation is therefore only possible once. The Federal Wrestling Festival ESAF 2025 Glarnerland+ will take place at the airfield in Mollis from August 29 to 31, 2025. The Glarus organizers define the "+" as the area from Lake Zurich to the Sarganserland-Werdenberg region. In addition to the three Glarus locations, Sarganserland municipalities are also part of the proud 26 other municipalities, districts and towns that together form a patronage partnership: 26 Glarnerland+ municipalities - ESAF2025. The Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival (ESAF) takes place every three years, for the first time in 1895, and features the Swiss national sports of wrestling, hornussen and stone throwing.

FAQ: The most important questions and answers

Why can the Sargans municipalities give away tickets?

The ESAF defines the "Glarnerland+" from Rapperswil-Jona via the Lake Zurich-Linth region and March Höfe to the Glarnerland and further into the Sarganserland region. 7 municipalities in the Sarganserland region have entered into a partnership with the ESAF. As official "patronage partners", they have the opportunity to purchase a contingent of tickets. The municipalities jointly decided to make the available, highly coveted and limited tickets available in full to their residents by drawing lots. This means that every resident of these municipalities has an equal opportunity to take part in this unique intergenerational event.

Why is Sargans missing?

The Sargans municipal council decided at the time not to take out the same partner status as the other 7 Sargans municipalities.

How does the prize draw work?

The prize draw is conducted via the Sarganserland-Werdenberg region platform: www.rsw.ch/esaf. Participation is simple: fill out and send in the competition form between June 1 and 15, 2025. The form will be online from June 1.

How is it ensured that only people from the participating municipalities can win tickets?

As with a petition or initiative, the municipalities will check the relevant list of participants. Data protection is guaranteed.

Why do certain municipalities receive more or fewer tickets?

The municipalities receive a quota based on the number of inhabitants and thus also corresponds to the support or partnership with the ESAF - this is also based on a per capita key.

Take part now and, with a little luck, win tickets for the Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival ESAF from August 29 to 31, 2025 in Mollis GL: www.rsw.ch/esaf
