A placeto build your future

A great place to live and work. The Sarganserland-Werdenberg region is located in the South of the Canton of St. Gallen. Both Werdenberg, which stretches out along the Rhine and is bordered by the Rhine Valley and the principality of Liechtenstein, and Sarganserland, which lies on St. Gallen’s frontiers with Glarus and Graubünden, offer a wealth of professional opportunities.

So, you enjoy life as well as work? You’ve come to the right place! Sarganserland-Werdenberg can offer a high quality of life and plenty of natural beauty, including the Walensee, the Rhine and impressive mountain ranges. When it comes to deciding how to spend your time off, you’re spoilt for choice: the scenery alone means you have an outstanding range of activities on your doorstep. But that’s not all. The region’s unique combination of affordable, housing, high living standards, numerous tourist attractions and cultural amenities, and a lively economy offering a wide variety of educational and employment opportunities make this corner of Eastern Switzerland a particularly attractive destination.

An ideal location for international companies

As a destination for business, Sarganserland-Werdenberg is hard to beat. Situated at the confluence of Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany and Italy, it forms a junction between the Greater Zurich Area (GZA), the Lake Constance Metropolitan Area and the Alpine Rhine (Principality of Liechtenstein, Graubünden, Vorarlberg) economic zones.

If you work in the technology sector, you’ll be interested to know that Sarganserland-Werdenberg lies within the Stuttgart-Munich-Milan technology triangle, making it an ideal base for any company. The region also benefits for its location on the European North-South Axis, and is well connected with European road and rail networks via hubs at Sargans and Buchs. The nearest international airports are in Zurich, Altenrhein and Friedrichshafen.
