I have been part of the ESAF-OK for ten years. As a representative of the Sarganserland-Walensee valley community, I was able to successfully contribute important aspects under Glarnerland +. I already knew OC President Jakob Kamm and contacted him immediately when a Glarus candidacy became known. In the period leading up to the now very positive conclusion of the festival, I experienced numerous highlights. Starting with the contacts with the Sarganserland municipalities, supported by the RSW, through sponsors in the commercial and private sectors, networking with politicians, the army and clubs, to the implementation of specific festival blocks.

It fills me with great joy that a north-eastern Swiss from a geographically close region is the wrestling king. Thanks to the other win-win advantages, I will add another + to the Glarnerland +. I noticed that the people of Glarus really appreciate the support from the neighboring regions. For me, the personal invitation on Sunday from the President of the Glarus District Council, Mic Küng, was a highlight and a thank you. In addition to my work for the ESAF, there are many strong emotions. It's gigantic how an ESAF runs so happily and inspires thousands.
The Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival in Mollis was not only geographically close to Sarganserland. From the maid of honor to the head of the NOS medical team to the chief chalker, people from the region were on duty. The regional daily newspaper provided a colorful and detailed report in today's edition (Tuesday, September 2) 2025: E-Paper Close to the bad guys
