"We don't want to make money with the platform, we just want to collect all offers and information in one place to make them clearly available to all interested parties," explains platform founder Ralph Windmüller. The goals in brief: The sports portal wants to strengthen the position of sport in society, promote knowledge transfer and contribute to the networking of sport in the region and the communities. The retired sports teacher of many years at the Sargans Cantonal School, who among other things also initiated the sports week, is very fond of sport in all its facets: "Sport is not only important for your health, but also a good school for life. You experience teamwork, democracy, success and defeat and learn for life," emphasises Ralph Windmüller. He carefully collects all the information himself on a voluntary basis. He is supported by family and friends. As a "community of interest in sport", they are committed to making regular sport accessible to everyone in the region. IG Sport has also been covering all the costs itself until now. However, sponsors are now being sought to cover the running costs. Ralph Windmüller is also in contact with municipalities and cantons in the hope of receiving support from the public sector in the future.
